The leshan Giant Buddha is a 71 metre (233 ft) tall stone statue, built during the tang dynasty. it's located to the east of Leshan city, Sichuan province, at the confluence of three rivers, the statue makes itself the most renowned senic spot in that city.the construction was started by a monk called Hai Tong who initiated the project and he hoped that the Buddha would calm the turbulent waters that plagued the shipping vessels traveling down the river. the huge statue was included by UNESCO on the list of the world heritage sites in 1996.

In China's remote northwest, you will find Zhagye Danxia landform, which is nicknamed "Rainbow Mountains" by many due to it's dazzlingly colors. it was formed by the erosion of red sandstone, forming isolated peaks and steep stratified outcrops. it's special geological structure, combined with long- term desert conditions, freeze-thaw peeling, and wind and water erosion gave rise to it's present appearence.it's listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.
The best time to visit Zhagye Danxia landform is from June to September when the weather is comfortable and the combination of strong sun and a little rain brings out the colors more. this wonderful place is usually ignored by ordinary travelers, but deeply loved by photographers.
